Gladfield American Pale Ale

Gladfield’s American Pale Ale recipe, scaled down to a 6 gallon all-grain/grainfather recipe pack.

This American Pale Ale is an easy drinker which is very popular with our local home brewers.

It has a nice malty backbone with caramel notes from the addition of crystal malt. It showcases Centennial and Chinook hops with additions of Cascade and Amarillo at the end of the boil.

The following is based on 70% efficiency:
Original Gravity: 1.060
Color (EBC): 16.5
Alcohol by Volume: 6.2%
IBU: 44.8

The full recipe pack contains all of the malt and individually vacuum sealed hop additions for a fermentation volume of 23L (6 gallons). The expected final packaging volume is 19L (5 gallons).

Want to make this kit your own? Purchase just the grain bill and hop the beer as you please.

Please note, kit does not include yeast. We recommend either:
2x US-05
2x BRY-97
2x M44
WLP001 with an appropriate sized starter
